Hijikata-shi was a woman who lived during the Auzuchi-Momoyama period. She was a consort of Oda Nobunaga. Details of her life are uncertain. She gave birth to Nobunaga’s ninth son, Oda Nobusada, in 1574. According to one source, she was the daughter of Hijikata Katsuhisa, a bushō and daimyō from Etchū Province. Katsuhisa, however, was born in 1553, which is inconsistent with the timing of the birth of Nobusada in 1574. Based on another account, she was the daughter of an individual with the Aoyama surname.
