Note regarding Dates:  All dates are based on the original Japanese lunisolar calendar.  For readability, the sections in English use the corresponding year.  For example, Tenbun 7 is referred to as 1538.  The days and months, however, correspond to the Japanese lunisolar calendar, which runs approximately one month behind the Julian calendar (which ran from 46 B.C to 1582 A.D.) and the Gregorian calendar (a refined version of the Julian calendar) which is in current use worldwide.  As a further example, 10/15 of 1538 means the fifteenth day of the tenth month of Tenbun 7.
