Wm. Barthell: Author/Historian/Translator/Web Designer
William’s research focuses on sixteenth-century Japan, with particular interest in the Sengoku and Azuchi-Momoyama periods to chronicle the bushō, or warriors, and events surrounding their struggle for power in the midst of these turbulent periods.
William has a Masters Degree in Japanese and East Asian Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (1990), and certification by the American Translators Association in Japanese to English translation (1996), with extensive translation experience.
