Shimazu Yoshihisa served as a bushō during the Sengoku period. Yoshihisa was the ninth head of the Shimazu-Izaku family, a cadet family of the Shimazu clan of Satsuma Province.
In 1468, Yoshihisa was born as the eldest son of Shimazu Hisayasu, the eighth head of the Shimazu-Izaku family. After the death of his father-in-law, Niiro Korehisa, Yoshihisa succeeded him and adopted the name of Niiro Tadashin.
In 1494, Yoshihisa was murdered by a manservant who tended to horses. He was twenty-seven years old.
