Oda Akiie was an individual during the Sengoku period.
Akiie was born as the second son of Oda Shigeharu, the twelfth head of the Oda clan of Hitachi Province.
Akiie possessed Hōjō Castle so was also called Hōjō Akiie.
In 1496, a succession struggle arose during which Akiie killed his older brother, Oda Harutaka (the thirteenth head of the Oda clan). As a result, Shigeharu appointed Oda Masaharu, to become the next head of the clan. Masaharu was either a natural son of Shigeharu and younger brother of Akiie, or was adopted and the natural son of Ashikaga Masatomo.
In conjunction with the appointment of Masaharu, Akiie was ousted and eliminated, but the details are uncertain.
