Bekki Chikanobu served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.

Chikaknobu was a member of the Bekki clan serving as retainers of the Ōtomo clan – the sengoku daimyō of Bungo Province.

Chikaknobu was the fifth son of Bekki Chikasada (Tango-no-kami).  Chikanobu was the uncle of Bekki Chikaie and great-uncle of Tachibana Dōsetsu.

According to the genealogical records of the Bekki clan, on 8/23 of Eishō 8 (1511), at the age of seventeen, he affiliated with Ashikaga Yoshitane, the eighth shōgun of the Muromachi bakufu.  At the Battle of Funaokayama, he served with the vanguard forces to help defeat the army of Hosokawa Masakata.  Later, he received a commendation and sword as appreciation for his service.

In 1551, Chikanobu was killed in action during the Battle of Kosaka in Hizen Province in northwest Kyūshū.  The headship of his family was inherited by his younger brother, Bekki Chikanari.  His son, Bekki Chikashige, was adopted by Chikanari.
