Araki Naotsugu served as a bushō during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The Araki were an illegitimate branch of the Nihonmatsu clan.
Naotsugu was born as the son of Araki Murahisa, the fourth head of the Araki clan and lord of Kunugiyama Castle in the Adachi District of Mutsu Province.
He was the younger brother of Nihonmatsu Yoshikuni, the lord of Nihonmatsu Castle in the Adachi District of Mutsu Province. Naotsugu was the father of Araki Moritsugu.
