Sugihara Sadatoshi served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.

Sadatoshi wed the daughter of Sugihara Ietoshi named Kohi (later known as Asahi-dono).  As a son-in-law, he became a member of the Sugihara family.  Two of his daughters, Nene and Yaya, were adopted and raised by Asano Nagakatsu and his wife, Nanamagari-dono.

Initially, he served Oda Nobunaga and, later, Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
