Shinohara Nagahide served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.  He was the lord of Imagire Castle in Awa Province.  He had a fief of 110 kan.

Nagahide was born as the son of Shinohara Jiton.  He served as an attendant to Miyoshi Nagaharu.  In 1576,  Nagahide served on behalf of Nagaharu in an attack against Hosokawa Saneyuki, but was defeated and withdrew.  After Nagaharu lost to Ogasawara Narisuke, Nagahide advised him to retreat to Imagire Castle.  In 1577, however, Imagire Castle was toppled.  After fleeing the castle, Nagahide turned to a retainer named Kōri Kansuke for help, but Kansuke was already colluding with Narisuke, and killed Nagahide.

After his death, villagers in the locale governed by Nagahide built an edifice in his honor, which is now the Shinohara Shrine in Kasuga in the city of Tokushima.
