Nagura Sōsuke served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.
Sōsuke was a retainer of Matsudaira Shigeyoshi of the Nomi-Matsudaira family, an illegitimate branch of the Matsudaira clan of Mikawa Province. Sōsuke served Matsudaira Shigemochi (commonly known as Hannya-no-suke, the second son of Shigeyoshi). On 2/5 of Eiroku 1 (1558), at the Siege of Terabe Castle, Sōsuke and Shigemochi fought valiantly but died in the battle.
