Matsudaira Shigemochi served as a bushō during the Sengoku period. He was commonly known as Hannya-no-suke or Hanya-no-suke.
Shigemochi was born as the second son of Matsudaira Shigeyoshi of the Nomi-Matsudaira family, an illegitimate branch of the Matsudaira clan of Mikawa Province. On 2/5 of Eiroku 1 (1558), during the Siege of Terabe Castle, Shigemochi, along with a retainer named Nagura Sōsuke, fought valiantly but died in the battle. He was seventeen years old.
