Matsudaira Norimoto served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.
Norimoto was born as the second son of Matsudaira Chikatada, the fourth head of the Matsudaira clan. Norimoto was born in Iwatsu in Mikawa Province.
After attacking Iwatsu, Matsudaira Nobumitsu captured Ogyū Castle in the Kamo District which was the base of Nagasaka Shinzaemon, a dogō, or small-scale landowner. He then transferred Ogyū Castle to his third son, Chikatada. Later, Chikatada transferred Ogyū and Hosokawa castles to Norimoto, whereupon Norimoto became the first head of the Ogyū-Matsudaira family. From 1507 to 1510, Norimoto, together with his son, Matsudaira Norimasa, engaged in a major renovation of Ogyū Castle. His grave is at this castle.
