Nagakura Bankurō served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.  He was a retainer of the Hyūga-Itō clan.

The Nagakura were an illegitimate branch of the Itō clan founded by Nagakura Sukeuji, the son of Itō Suketoki, the first head of the Itō clan of Hyūga Province in Kyūshū.  When Itō Ujisuke moved from Kyōto to Hyūga, members of the Nagakura accompanied him and became servants of the Itō.

According to historical records of Hyūga, Bankurō served, together with Kamibeppu Kunai-shōyū, as the lord of Kiyotake Castle.  In 1572, at the Battle of Kizakibaru, Bankurō served in the Itō army commanded by Itō Sukenobu and Itō Sukeyasu.  His younger brother, Nagakura Banjūrō was killed in action.

Bankurō died at the age of twenty-five.
