Kira Yoshisato served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.  He was a member of the Saijō branch of the Mikawa-Kira clan.

Yoshisato was born as the eldest son of Kira Yoshitaka, the lord of Saijō Castle of the Mikawa-Kira clan.  His younger brothers included Kira Yoshiyasu and Kira Yoshiaki.

Yoshisato succeeded his father, Yoshitaka, as the head of the Saijō-Kira, but he died early.  According to one theory, in 1537, he was killed in action while fighting against Imagawa Yoshimoto, the sengoku daimyō of Suruga Province.  According to the genealogical records kept at the Jisshō Temple (the family temple of the Kira clan), he died on 4/23 of Tenbun 9 (1540).  According to another theory, he died in fighting against Oda Nobuhide, the daimyō from Owari Province.

Yoshitaka’s formal wife was the older sister of Imagawa Yoshimoto and, in 1540, the Oda invaded Mikawa to take advantage of an opportunity created by conflict between the Imagawa and the Hōjō clans in the Katō Conflict.

After the death of Yoshisato, he was succeeded by his eldest son, Yoshiyasu.
