Yonekizu Masanobu served as a bushō during the Sengoku period.  He was a retainer of the Matsudaira clan in Mikawa Province.

In 1531, Masanobu was born as the son of Yonekizu Katsunobu.

In 1573, he was killed at the Battle of Mikatagahara.  His older brother and the lineal heir to the family was Yonekizu Tsuneharu.  Tsuneharu’s son, Yonekizu Masakatsu, was removed from his position in connection with a bribery scandal, but Masanobu’s eldest son, Yonekizu Yasukatsu, continued the lineage as a hatamoto, or direct retainer of the Edo bakufu.  His third son, Yonekizu Tadamasa, continued another lineage as a daimyō.
